All Languages Are Specified By Default For Download |
SYMPTOMS
By default, WSUS is configured to download all languages for any updates you specifiy.
WORKAROUND
Before sychronising your WSUS Server the first time, change the WSUS configuration to only download the languages you want.
CAUSE
This is by design.
STATUS
MS are considering a change at SP1.

Microsoft believe this policy is in line with "secure by default" concept, in the sense that the WSUS server in its default configuration should service all client computers with all OS languages.
If a WSUS administrator is certain that are sure that their clients computers only need a subset a subset of languages, they would update their server language settings.
