Patch Management Of Microsoft Office
| Show Menu |
Tell us how you keep Microsoft Office up to date. Things to talk about: - How do you roll out updates? How often?
- Do you enforce upgrade to a version?
July 22, 2005 by Nicolas Since WSUS only maintains Office XP and 2003, we are rolling out a Windows 2000 upgrade to all our Office 2000 seats, as a pre-requisite to WSUS. We choose to use the ORK to create a silent package with pre-set options, that will remove old versions and install specific components. We added Office 2003 SP1 patch to the script so that on the next run the WSUS client picks up post-SP1 patches. So far it looks good, the updates get applied correctly.
