Tuesday 1 February

David Dehghan I implemented a new home page. But as we discussed before I did not go live with it immediately so that other people can comment on it. It is time to revamp the home page. lets talk about it here http://forums.susserver.com/index.php?showtopic=4203

skatterbrain I added a small bullet to the home page to remind visitors that WSUS is still in beta and not a production-ready product.

Wednesday 2 February

David Dehghan Added a new table to home page. Moved comments from home page to a new page.

Mohammed Athif Khaleel Added to Do You Know? + Minor change on Misc .

Hi, Thomas & David, I am thinking to remove the following stuff "There are other WSUSs out there, including:" from Do You Know? Let me know what you guyz think. I have added some more stuff there.

David Dehghan Sure. You can remove it.

Friday 11 February
Thomas Lee The do you know page was always (I felt) to be a bit light hearted. and I do see the funny side in this, and I vote NOT to remove it. If Microsoft wants to use a name, any name, I feel it important to differentiate it from other variations of the same name. And a little gentle humour is no bad thing.

I've updated some pages, but am waiting till I get the RC to do a big re-vamp of content. As we move forward to the RC, I think it might be an idea to divvy up the work of updating this site so as not step over each others's toes/edits!

Saturday 13 February
Mohammed Athif Khaleel Added 2 more items to
Do You Know? David & Thomas, thanks for the comments..Ok For the moment lets keep the page AS IS. At the time of re-vamp lets think over as we may change/edit most of the content.

Created 3 new pages in Do You Know? viz;

General: http://wsus.editme.com/DYKGeneral
Patch Management (SUS/WSUS): http://wsus.editme.com/DYKPatchManagement
News Letters: http://wsus.editme.com/DYKNewsLetters

I have been busy today in re-vamp of the whole page.. Take a look @ Do You Know?

David Dehghan I have had an increadibly frustrating time trying to import the stupid site logs from this site into SQL. I have looked at logparser.exe but could't figure out how to make it work. The log format is NCSA.

What I want to do is to create dynamic a report for most visited pages. We need to start looking at how users are using this site and improve the pages that are most viewed.

It is incredibly frustrating not being able to do such a simple task. There has to some tool to import these into sql.

Sunday 14 February
Mohammed Athif Khaleel Created a new page DYK Misc and moved the content from Do You Know? Revamped the whole page to give a new look.

David Dehghan Hey guys.

A great new opportunity came along and i jump on it. Take a look at http://blog.fotolove.com/daviddehghan/archive/2005/02/13/226.aspx. My commitment to the wiki project is unchnaged. It is just my day job that is going to be different. Perhaps I would even have more time for Wiki. ;-) I will talk to you guys more about it in the next few days.

Thomas- I like your idea of claiming portion of the site to take care of. This way we can have multiple active front and stumble on eachother less.

We also need to have a good long disscussion about the name change and how to implement it efficienly and cause less broken links. http://forums.susserver.com/index.php?showtopic=4585

Can any one tell me what happened to the FONT at this site? Who changed that to TNR instead of VERDANA? David/Thomas are you aware of this.

David Dehghan - I think the editme.com servers were updated and as a result the forts changed. I don't really have control over that.

Wednesday 23 February

Scott Korman Did the site rollback to a previous version as part of the editme.com problems? There are some changes and previous versions that are gone.

Wednesday 23 February

Mohammed Athif Khaleel Changed to Font to Verdana on most of the pages.

Thursday 24 February

David Dehghan Apparently editme.com had some problems rolling out thier new software. They have gone back to the previous version see http://www.editme.com/News

Sunday 27 February

David Dehghan I did a bunch of coding this weekend. I wrote a parser to parse all the logs and put them in a SQL db. So now I should be able to easily create reports for how many times a page was read.
